Our Mission
The mission of Dimensions Clinic is to increase the physical and mental health and wellness of LGBTQIQ young people in a culturally competent environment.
Our History
One of the first clinics of its kind in the country, Dimensions has been providing queer and trans youth with friendly and respectful gender and sexuality affirming healthcare services since 1998.
Twenty years ago, five youth agencies—the San Francisco Department of Public Health, Health Initiatives for Youth (HIFY), Lavender Youth Recreation and Information Center (LYRIC), Larkin Street Youth Services, and New Leaf: Services for Our Community—joined forces to create Dimensions at Castro Mission Health Center. Over the years we have evolved to provide highly accessible, cutting edge gender affirming medical care and mental health services to queer and trans young people from diverse backgrounds.
